محافظ عدن و المؤسسة العامة للكهرباء يدشنا محطة توليد كهرباء بقوة 54 ميجاوات تم شرائها من شركة الطاقة جلوبال، احدي شركات مجموعة الزاهد بالمملكة العربية السعودية


سوف تولد محطة توليد الطاقة 54 ميجا وات لأكثر من 150000 عميل في اليمن وسيستفيد منها أكثر من نصف مليون نسمة في محافظة عدن. وقد قامت شركة الطاقة جلوبال بتوظيف 95% من إجمالي العاملين لديها من  اليمن وهي قادرة على تسليم المشروع في الوقت المحدد. ويُعد هذا المشروع أحد قصص النجاحات العظيمة التي تتم بالتعاون بين الحكومة والمجتمع المحلي والشركة الخاصة في مجال صناعة الطاقة.


عدن، اليمن ودبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – نجحت شركة الطاقة جلوبال Cat Rental Power، وهي شركة رائدة عالميًا في توفير حلول الطاقة، في تركيب محطة طاقة بسعة 54 ميجا وات في محافظة عدن، اليمن. قام محافظ عدن و المؤسسة العامة للكهرباء مع مختلف المسؤولين الحكوميين والمديرين التنفيذيين لشركة الطاقة جلوبال بافتتاح محطة توليد الطاقة التي ستولد ما يصل إلى 15% من  الكهرباء اللازمة لفصل الصيف.

فإن محطةتوليد الكهرباء هذه هي أسرع محطة توليد يتم إنشائها في تاريخ اليمن. حيث لم تستغرقمنا سوى 23 يومًا من تاريخ توقيع العقد وحتى توليد الكهرباء. وقد حطم هذا المشروعالرقم القياسي لأي شركة أخرى. وقد عملت الحكومة المؤسسة العامة للكهرباء وشركةالطاقة جلوبال بجد لتوفير الطاقة لمحافظة عدن.


وقد أعرب محافظ عدن وحيد على رشيد عن امتنانه العميق لرئيس الجمهورية عبد ربه منصور هادى للحلول الرائعة التي تلبي متطلبات واحتياجات محافظة عدن، وقال إن"رئيس الجمهورية قد بذل الكثير من الوقت والجهد لجعل محطة الطاقة هذه واقعاً ملموساً. وقد شارك رئيس الجمهورية بصفة شخصية في تقديم أفضل الحلول لأزمة الكهرباء واستجاب بشكل عاجل لوضع الكهرباء." وقد ناشد المحافظ المواطنين أن يقتصدوا في استخدام الطاقة وترشيد استهلاكها لضمان ديمومة استمرار خدمة الكهرباء وتجنب معاناة انقطاعها.


ووفقًا للمهندس خليل عبد الملك، المدير العام للمؤسسة العامة للكهرباء بعدن "فإن محطة توليد الكهرباء هذه هي أسرع محطة توليد يتم إنشائها في تاريخ اليمن. حيث لم تستغرق منا سوى 23 يومًا من تاريخ توقيع العقد وحتى توليد الكهرباء. وقد حطم هذا المشروع الرقم القياسي لأي شركة أخرى. وقد عملت الحكومة المؤسسة العامة للكهرباء وشركة الطاقة جلوبال بجد لتوفير الطاقة لمحافظة عدن." وأشار قائلا "هذه المحطة ستعمل على التخفيف من معاناة المواطنين جراء انقطاع التيار الكهربائي وتخفيف العجز في الكهرباء.".

وهناك قرابة 95% من القوة العاملة لدى محطة الكهرباء الجديدة هذه من المهندسين اليمنيين المحلين والنسبة الباقية 5% من شركة الطاقة جلوبال كاتربيلر. وصرح ستيفن ميريك، العضو المنتدب لشركة الطاقة جلوبال، قائلا "نحن ملتزمون بمساعدة البيئات المحيطة بنا من خلال نموذج عمل مستدام فنخلق فرص عمل في المناطق التي نعمل فيها." ومن خلال توظيف المواهب اليمنية المحلية، فإننا نفتخر بخدمة المجتمع والمساهمة في تحسين  حياتهم الاجتماعية. ولقد استثمرنا أيضًا قدرًا كبيرًا من الموارد لتدريب العمالة اليمنية لضمان استمرار عملية تشغيل بمستوى مثالي. وفي النهاية، استطعنا من نقل معرفتنا وخبرتنا الفنية إلى القوى العاملة المحلية مع الاحتفاظ بالمعايير والعمليات التشغيلية. وبالتأكيد سنتبع نفس العملية وتوظيف أفراد محليين في البلدان الأخرى التي نخطط للعمل فيها مستقبلاً.

"ونظرًا للتعاون الناجح بين القوى العاملة لدى شركة الطاقة جلوبال والفريق اليمني المحلي، تم الانتهاء من تركيب محطة الطاقة بقدرة 11 كيلو فولت و33 كيلو فولت حسب الجدول المحدد." وصرح بيتر دين بوجيرت، المدير العام للتطوير التجاري بشركة الطاقة جلوبال، قائلاً "برغم الصيف الحار حيث كانت درجة الحرارة تصل إلى 38 درجة مئوية وبرغم أننا في شهر رمضان حيث كنا نعمل لفترة قصيرة فقط، إلا أننا تمكنا من إكمال مشروع الطاقة نظرًا للعملية التشغيلية القوية والسلسلة لدينا."

Aden’s Governor, PEC and Altaaqa Global Inaugurates Power Plant in Yemen

The 54 MW power plant will supply up to 150,000 customers in Yemen which will benefit more than half a million people in the province of Aden. Altaaqa Global hired 95% of the total employees from Yemen and able to deliver the project on time. This is one of the great success stories of doing synergy between the government, local community and private company in the power industry.


Aden, Yemen – Altaaqa Global Cat Rental Power, a leading global power solutions provider, has successfully installed 54 MW power plant in the province of Aden, Yemen. The Governor and Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) officials, together with various government officials and the Executives of Altaaqa Global inaugurated the power plant that will provide up to 15% of the province summer electricity demand.



Governor Wahid Ali Rashid expressed deep gratitude to the President, His Excellency Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi for the great solution to the demands and needs of the governorate of Aden, he said “the President of the Republic of Yemen has spent a lot of time and efforts to make this power plant into reality. The President has personally been involved in providing the best solutions for electricity crisis and urgently responded to address the situation of electricity.” The Governor appealed to the citizens of Aden to use the electricity wisely and be efficient in consuming energy to ensure a sustainable energy and avoid electric outages.

According to Engineer Khalil Abdul-Malik, Director General of Public Electricity Corporation (PEC), “This is the fastest power plant ever built in the history of Yemen. It only took us 23 days from the day that we have signed the contract until the day that we have supplied electricity. This is a record breaking power project. The government, PEC and Altaaqa Global has worked diligently together to deliver electricity to the province of Aden.” He pointed out that “this power plant will alleviate the suffering of the citizens due to power outages and reduce the power deficit.”  

“With this new power plant, 95% of the workforce is local Yemeni engineers and the remaining 5% are from Altaaqa Global Caterpillar.” According to Steven Meyrick, Managing Director of Altaaqa Global, “We are committed to helping our immediate environs through a sustainable business model by creating employment opportunities in the areas where we operate. By hiring local talents in Yemen, we are proud to serve the community and contribute to their social lives. We have also invested a significant amount of resources to train the Yemeni workforce to ensure that our operation is still on its optimum level. In the end, we have passed on our technical know-how to the local workforce while maintaining our operational standards and processes. We will surely replicate the same process of hiring local people in other countries that we are planning to pursue in the future.”

“Because of the successful collaboration between the Altaaqa Global workforce and the local Yemeni team, the power plants of 11kV and 33kV installation were completed as per schedule.” According to Peter den Boogert, GM of Business Development of Altaaqa Global, “Even during summer when it can reach up to 38 degrees Celsius, and during Ramadan when we are only able to work for a short period of time, we were able to complete the power project due to our strong operational and streamlined business process.”

Altaaqa Global strives to meet the electricity needs of every Yemeni citizen as envisioned by The President, His Excellency Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi. The 54 MW temporary power plant can supply up to 150,000 homes with electricity, benefiting more than half people in the city of Aden. Also present at the inauguration were various officials from Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) and other government and non-governmental officials.


Aden, Yemen – Altaaqa Global, a leading global power solutions provider, has successfully installed a 54 MW temporary power plant in Aden, Yemen. His Excellency Wahid Ali Rashid, Governor of Aden and Engineer Khalil Abdul-Malik, Director General of Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) together with the Executives of Altaaqa Global inaugurated the temporary power plant that can provide electricity to 150,000 customers in Yemen.

On top of the swift installation and commissioning, Billy Wharton, Director of Operations of Altaaqa Global, mentioned, “Our project in Aden is the most advanced in the power industry. This is also the most advanced Caterpillar electric power protection system in the world.
