JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:         Site Supervisor 
Reports to:       Manager IPP Operations

Primary purpose of the job:
·         Responsible for the overall operation and day to day activities of the project site.
·         Assist Installation Manager/Team with the installation and commission of the site.
·         Manage, evaluate and assist Electricians, Mechanics, Admin Staff and Genset Operators under his responsibility.

Principal Accountability:
·         Ensure the Power Plant and all individuals working on site; conduct their daily business in a safe manner, adhering to company Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental policies at all times.
·         Ensure contracted load requirements are maintained at all times.
·         Ensure routine preventive maintenance, service & repairs are carried out in accordance to the manufacturer's recommendations.
·         Evaluate and monitor rental equipment, issue reports, maintenance and repair recommendations.
·         Assist and supervise where necessary, the installation and commissioning of rental equipment, within the contract timescales.
·         By delegation, assign various repair and/or service tasks to Mechanics, Electricians and Operators, according to their skills.
·         Ensure parts & supplies ordering are accurate, accounted for and accompanied with accurate supporting documentation at all times.
·         Communicate with customers.
·         Ready to work at any location, wherever required.

KPI’s
·         100% implementation and adherence of Altaaqa Quality, Health, Environmental & Safety procedures, by all PP staff on a day by day basis.
·         Successful supervision and operation of the project, delivering 100% contracted load requirements at all times in a safe manner.
·         Achieving 100%  profitability target as set out in project contract
·         No more than 5% down time on site installed capacity at all times throughout the contract period
·         100% up to date PMS on PM Modules at all times.

Authority Level:
·         Supervises:      Electricians, Mechanics, Site Admin, Genset Operators          

Liaises with:
·         Installation Manager
·         Service Manager
·         Business Development Manager
·         Customers
·         Suppliers

Job requirements:

Education:
·         B.S. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. (Preferable)

Experience:
At least 5 to 7 years on engineering practice. Field experience with Diesel Engine Generators (preferably CAT), motor control circuits, switchgear, transformers, power distribution panels, design work, servicing, trouble-shooting, sizing and implementation of power stations and auxiliary equipment of various sizes. Knowledge on parallel operation of Generator sets is a must. Medium Voltage works experience is preferable.

General Intelligence:
Must be able to shoulder responsibility, direction and leadership of site personnel and performance. Technical literacy on both electrical and mechanical aspects of the site work is necessary.

Special Aptitudes:
Possess P.C. knowledge, Full Driver’s License, and is fluent in English Language.
